
Location
Gotherington, Cheltenham with site locations including Reading, Abingdon, Bicester, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Newbury, Basingstoke, Andover, Aylesbury, Witney, Maidenhead and Slough.
Hours
8 hours per day, usually starting at 7:30am with a 1 hour lunch break. Finish times and working days to be confirmed. 40 hours per week.

About the Role
Join a leading company specialising in plumbing work on new build properties for major builders such as Berkley, Taylor Wimpey, Bellway and Pye Homes. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working within new build homes, learning plumbing, heating, renewable energy, general plumbing repairs and maintenance, central heating servicing and installation, boiler servicing and installation, as well as bathroom and kitchen installation. You will assist skilled plumbers, learning planning, selecting, sizing, installation, testing, fault finding, diagnostics, rectification, servicing and maintenance tasks. You will develop skills in interpreting technical drawings, precision measuring, marking, cutting and installing components, and using hand and power tools safely. The role requires maintaining a clean and organised work environment, handling materials safely, following health and safety policies including PPE use, and upholding high standards of craftsmanship. Apprentices may also assist with general site labouring and have opportunities to observe other trades to understand the sequence of building projects.
Training
This is a 4-year apprenticeship including regular training with Abingdon and Witney College or other training organisations. At least 20% of your working hours will be dedicated to training or studying. Apprentices will attend college one day per week and train in the workplace the rest of the time. Training locations depend on your residence and include Newbury, Basingstoke, Andover, Aylesbury, Witney, Maidenhead and Slough. Please ensure you live in or near these areas before applying.
Qualifications
Essential GCSEs: English (grade 4 and above), Maths (grade 4 and above), Driving (grade Pass). Please inform the company of any other relevant qualifications or industry experience as the apprenticeship can be adjusted accordingly.
