About the Role
Equans are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This full-time role involves providing contract commercial management services and profit improvement within the HMCTS contract where Equans delivers Project Works. The Quantity Surveyor will support operational teams by managing numerous stakeholder relationships including client representatives, operational teams, and functional support colleagues such as risk, finance, and HR. Key responsibilities include identifying, monitoring, and reporting risks; managing variation and change control to capture revenue; leading contract governance to ensure compliance with contract and internal processes; supporting the Commercial Manager in meeting contract and company objectives; taking the commercial lead with clients to resolve contract variations; participating in contract governance committees; negotiating to mitigate business risk; contributing to dispute resolution; embedding contract review and governance frameworks; and promoting Equans’ Code of Conduct to ensure safe, compliant, and consistent working practices. The role demands integrity, accountability, and a commitment to safety and quality at all times.

Experience
Suitable commercial experience within a similar industry sector, with a strong understanding of contract commercial management and risk mitigation.
About you
Excellent communicator with strong financial acumen and the ability to analyse complex data accurately. Sound understanding of risk analysis and management. Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and professionalism. PC literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Business Assurance systems. Able to work collaboratively and manage multiple stakeholder relationships effectively.
Qualifications
Educated to degree or diploma level in Law or Quantity Surveying. Understanding and practical application of UK commercial law, including the Construction Act. Ideally a member or working towards membership of RICS. Must have the right to work in the UK. Certain roles may require a Disclosure check.
