As a Risk Manager within Arcadis’ Energy Networks & Renewables team, you will focus on key renewable energy projects, programmes, and portfolios across transmission and distribution sectors. You will lead and deliver risk management activities, with a strong emphasis on Quantitative and Qualitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA/QCRA). Your role will involve identifying, analysing, and managing cost, schedule, and business risks, supporting commercial decision-making, and embedding best-practice risk processes across delivery teams.

This role is suitable for candidates at various career stages, with responsibilities tailored accordingly. You will ensure high-quality delivery, develop team capability, and support client account growth.

The main purpose of the role is to work with project teams to implement effective risk management processes and procedures, deliver consultancy services to major clients, and act as a technical expert within Resilience. You will provide subject matter input on pursuits and project objectives, ensuring consistent application of risk frameworks and standards.

Requirements

Experience
Practical experience in project, programme, or enterprise risk management (level varies by role). Experience in regulated environments, particularly in Energy. Proven ability to deliver risk management plans within projects. Strong analytical skills with experience building and interpreting risk models and presenting probabilistic outcomes. Expertise in Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) techniques and tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran, and knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management tools like Active Risk Manager (ARM), Predict!, and Xactium. Understanding of construction contracts and the relationship between risk management and project controls including change control, planning, scheduling, cost, commercial management, and reporting.

Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information simply. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills with a collaborative and consulting approach. Logical thinker able to coordinate multi-faceted project aspects. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently. Willingness to coach and mentor junior team members (for senior roles) and contribute to capability building. Committed to continuous improvement in tools, processes, and data quality for risk management.

Qualifications
Desire to work towards relevant professional certification such as APM Risk Certificate or IRM Certificate/Diploma. Evidence of previous experience in risk management delivery. A logical and structured approach to risk management aligned with industry best practice.
