
Location
Leeds/Aire Valley/Wakefield area, with venues including Skelton Lakes Station, St Aidens, and RSPB Fairburn Ings. Applicants must live within 10 miles of the area.
Hours
Part-time, 3 days per week working weekends, typically 3 out of 4 weekends per month.
Salary
£25,847 per annum (pro rata)
About the Role
Make a difference this summer by joining the RSPB Fundraising Team. This role involves engaging with the public to inspire support for nature and the RSPB’s mission. You will travel daily to local venues using a company van (fuel and parking covered), set up eye-catching fundraising stands, and chat with visitors to encourage regular giving. The role is outdoors, people-focused, and requires confidence and resilience. Full training is provided, and no prior wildlife knowledge is necessary. The position runs from February/March 2026 until early September 2026, with the potential to return each summer. Induction and training take place at RSPB HQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire, with travel and accommodation covered. The active fundraising season runs from April to September.
Experience
Fundraising, sales, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
About you
Passionate about people and conservation. Confident engaging with the public. Resilient and positive when facing challenges. Comfortable working outdoors and independently. Willingness to travel up to one hour each way from home. Availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month. A full UK driving licence is required.

No formal qualifications required. Right to work in the UK is essential. This role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship.
