About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Environmental (EIA) Consultant to join our Environmental Management and Assessment Team across London and the South East. You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning sectors such as energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property, and local government. This role involves managing environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and option stages through to consent application, detailed design, construction, and handover. You will collaborate with environmental specialists and design teams to promote sustainable design, environmental enhancement, and deliver projects that generate wider benefits including improved habitats, cleaner air and water, and lower carbon footprints.
As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will manage project delivery including bidding, team management, financial oversight, and client engagement. You will provide environmental advice, prepare EIA screening and scoping reports, environmental constraints studies, management plans, and Environmental Statements. You will also support business development activities and contribute to innovative approaches such as Digital EIA and Future Ready EIA. Experience
- Relevant post-qualified experience coordinating environmental assessments across a variety of projects
- Proven experience with EIA processes and environmental legislation
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and managing projects with limited supervision
- Experience in bid preparation, work winning, and client relationship management
- Knowledge of project management including commercial, risk, forecasting, and quality assurance aspects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including detailed report writing
- Demonstrable commitment to promoting health, safety, and wellbeing culture

Qualifications
- Relevant environmental degree or equivalent qualification in EIA or related discipline
- Achieved or working towards Chartered Environmental Status and full membership of IEMA or similar professional body
