About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Environmental (EIA) Consultant to join our Environmental Management and Assessment Team within the London and South East regions. Our projects span multiple sectors including energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property, and local government. As one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies, we are involved in projects ranging from small developments to major national infrastructure schemes.
In this role, you will manage environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and option stages through to consent application, detailed design, construction, and handover. You will collaborate with environmental specialists and engineering teams to promote sustainable design and environmental enhancement, ensuring projects deliver wider benefits such as improved habitats, cleaner air and water, lower carbon emissions, and overall environmental gain.
You will be responsible for managing projects, including bidding, team leadership, project delivery, and financial management. Your work will involve providing environmental advice, managing EIA processes, preparing environmental statements, and building strong client relationships. You will also contribute to business development activities and support the development of innovative techniques such as Digital EIA and Future Ready EIA.

Experience
- Relevant post-qualified experience coordinating environmental assessments and EIA processes across a variety of projects
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams with limited supervision
- Knowledge of relevant environmental and planning legislation
- Experience in project management activities including commercial, risk, forecasting, and quality assurance
- Proven track record in work winning, bid preparation, and business development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including detailed report writing
- Experience liaising with clients, cross-discipline teams, and external organisations
- Demonstrable commitment to promoting a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture

Qualifications
- Relevant environmental degree or equivalent qualification in EIA or related field
- Achieved or working towards Chartered Environmental Status and full membership of IEMA or similar professional body
- Relevant professional qualifications demonstrating expertise in environmental assessment and management
