About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a positive impact on communities and the environment. We are seeking a Senior Environmental (EIA) Consultant to join our Environmental Management and Assessment Team across London and the South East. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects spanning sectors such as energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property, and local government. As one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies, WSP is involved in projects ranging from small developments to major national infrastructure schemes.

In this role, you will manage environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle, from early concept and option stages through to consent application, detailed design, construction, and handover. You will collaborate with environmental specialists and design teams to promote sustainable design, environmental enhancement, and deliver projects that improve habitats, air and water quality, and reduce carbon emissions.

You will be responsible for managing projects, including bidding, team leadership, delivery, and financial oversight. Your work will include providing environmental advice, managing EIA screening and scoping, preparing environmental statements and management plans, and supporting business development activities. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior colleagues and fostering an inclusive, health and safety-focused workplace culture.

This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to influence and deliver environmental elements across a wide range of sectors including rail, highways, energy, and commercial/residential developments.
