About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Environmental professional to join our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in London or the South East. Our portfolio spans diverse sectors including energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property, and Local Government. As one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies, we engage with projects ranging from small developments to major national infrastructure schemes.
In this role, you will manage environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle, from early concept and option stages through to consent application, detailed design, construction, and handover. You will collaborate with environmental specialists and engineering teams to promote sustainable design, environmental enhancement, and deliver projects that provide wider benefits such as improved habitats, cleaner air and water, and lower carbon footprints.
You will be responsible for managing projects, including bidding, team leadership, delivery, and financial oversight. Your work will involve providing environmental advice, preparing EIA screening requests, scoping reports, environmental constraints studies, management plans, and Environmental Statements. You will also contribute to business development, innovative practice improvements such as Digital EIA, and support the development of junior colleagues.

Experience
- Relevant post-qualified experience coordinating environmental assessments across a variety of projects
- Proven experience in EIA processes and working within multi-disciplinary teams with limited supervision
- Knowledge of environmental and planning legislation
- Experience in project management including commercial, risk, forecasting, and quality assurance aspects
- Experience in bid preparation and work winning activities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including report writing with attention to detail
- Experience liaising with clients, cross-discipline teams, and external organisations

Qualifications
- Relevant environmental degree or equivalent qualification in EIA or similar
- Achieved or working towards Chartered Environmental Status and full membership of IEMA or similar professional body
