About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a positive impact on communities and the environment. We are seeking a Senior Environmental professional to join our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in London or the South East. Our portfolio spans diverse sectors including energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property, and Local Government. As one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies, we engage with projects ranging from small developments to major national infrastructure schemes.

In this role, you will manage environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle, from early concept and option stages through to consent application, detailed design, construction, and handover. You will collaborate with environmental specialists and engineering teams to promote sustainable design, environmental enhancement, and deliver projects that provide wider benefits such as improved habitats, cleaner air and water, and lower carbon footprints.

You will be responsible for managing projects, including bidding, team leadership, delivery, and financial oversight. Your work will involve providing environmental advice, preparing EIA screening requests, scoping reports, environmental constraints studies, management plans, and Environmental Statements. You will also contribute to business development, innovative practice improvements such as Digital EIA, and support the development of junior colleagues.

WSP values a culture of health, safety, wellbeing, and inclusivity, and you will be expected to promote these values while contributing to the success of the business strategy. This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to progress their career and influence environmental outcomes across multiple sectors.
