About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that shape the future of sustainable building design. As a Senior, Principal, or Associate Sustainability Consultant within our Building Performance team, you will support the delivery of sustainable building solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role involves leading sustainability strategies, certifications, and assessments including LEED, WELL, BREEAM, and NABERS, while contributing to Zero Carbon and wider sustainability initiatives within the Built Environment.
You will work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate sustainability contributions, prepare high quality reports and statements such as Whole Life Carbon and Circular Economy Statements, and ensure compliance with current and emerging UK sustainability legislation. The role offers the chance to influence design teams, drive innovation, and support clients in achieving their sustainability and wellbeing aspirations.

Experience
- Proven experience as a sustainability consultant leading sustainability assessments and certifications (LEED, WELL, BREEAM, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Net Zero, Low Carbon Design, and sustainable materials
- Experience driving design teams to maximize sustainability outcomes
- Knowledge of construction processes and sustainable design implications
- Experience supporting bids and business development with commercial acumen
- Understanding of thermal modelling, low carbon energy strategies, and UK planning policies related to sustainability and Net Zero targets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients and internal teams effectively

Qualifications
- WELL AP and/or LEED AP qualification
- Degree in engineering, environmental science, architecture, sustainability, or related discipline
- Membership of a relevant professional institution and working towards or already holding Chartered status (engineer, scientist, or environmentalist)
