This opportunity is with a specialist low carbon heating provider delivering high end domestic and complex commercial decarbonisation projects. Their work includes heat pumps, solar systems, listed and heritage buildings, schools, churches and wider retrofit schemes.

They also support independent installers nationwide through an MCS umbrella service, helping raise industry standards and ensure high quality renewable installations. The focus is on quality, innovation and genuine carbon reduction rather than volume.

Want to lead high quality renewable heating projects across the South of England?

This is a senior role for an experienced heating professional who can deliver and commission low carbon systems to a high standard while supporting the development of junior engineers. You will play a key role in delivering air source and ground source heat pumps, solar and hybrid systems, and ensuring consistent, best practice installation across multiple projects.

What you will do

• Lead or support installation and commissioning of air source and ground source heat pumps
• Work alongside solar and battery systems including solar thermal
• Carry out diagnostics, fault finding and performance optimisation
• Liaise with clients, project managers and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers
• Contribute to design reviews, quality audits and commissioning plans
• Maintain accurate installation records, photos and commissioning data
• Uphold high standards of safety, workmanship and customer service

What we are looking for

• Minimum five years of experience in heating or renewables
• Experience with heat pumps is ideal, particularly commissioning and diagnostics
• NVQ Level 3 Plumbing and Heating or equivalent
• G3 Unvented and Part L knowledge desirable
• Strong understanding of hydronic system design and controls
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South of England
• Good communication skills and confidence leading or mentoring others

Desirable
• Experience with MCS requirements, NICEIC or RECC
• Gas experience or qualifications
• Solar PV or battery related training such as City and Guilds 2399
• Experience on commercial, listed or heritage buildings
• Ability to train, coach or mentor others
