About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving complex challenges together. Resilience is one of Arcadis’ core business lines, operating across sectors including water, energy, environmental, and industrial. Our projects range from nationally significant infrastructure schemes to mass volume utility works.

As a Senior Risk Manager, you will work within Arcadis’ Energy Networks & Renewables team, focusing on key renewable energy projects, programmes, and portfolios across the transmission and distribution sectors. You will lead and deliver risk management activities across major projects with a strong emphasis on Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA). Your role will involve identifying, analysing, and managing cost, schedule, and business risks, supporting commercial decision-making, and embedding best-practice risk processes across delivery teams.

You will ensure high-quality delivery, develop team capability, and support client account growth. The role includes working with project teams to implement effective risk management processes, delivering consultancy services to major clients, and acting as a technical expert within the Resilience team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects across Northern England and the West Midlands, providing solutions for clients in transportation, infrastructure, and buildings sectors.

Role Accountabilities
Deliver risk management services in compliance with client governance and objectives. Undertake day-to-day risk management activities including identification, assessment, management, review, and reporting of risks, issues, and opportunities. Produce periodic risk reporting including profiled risk expenditure, contingency drawdown, and risk exposure changes. Advise project teams on mitigation, contingency, risk allocation, and commercial implications. Develop, validate, and run Quantitative Risk Analysis (Cost, Schedule, and integrated) to enable robust forecasting and tracking of risk exposure. Ensure identification and management of all significant risks to project objectives. Deliver discrete risk interventions and embedded risk management services, supporting governance and escalation of significant risks. Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building. Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and data quality for risk management.

Requirements

Experience
Practical experience in project, programme, or enterprise risk management, with scale and level varying by role. Experience in regulated environments, particularly in Energy. Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret risk models and present probabilistic outcomes. Experience applying Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) techniques and tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis (Pertmaster), and Safran, including analysis of complex logic-linked cost-loaded schedules. Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management tools like Active Risk Manager (ARM), Predict!, and Xactium. Understanding of construction contracts and the relationship between risk management and project controls including project management, change control, planning & scheduling, cost & commercial management, and reporting. Proven experience in defining and delivering risk management plans within projects.

About you
Energetic and well-rounded risk management professional with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality risk services. Capable of working collaboratively with project teams and clients to embed best practice risk processes. Skilled in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues and driving continuous improvement. Motivated to contribute to sustainable and impactful projects across multiple sectors.

Qualifications
Desire to work towards relevant professional certification such as APM Risk Certificate or IRM Certificate/Diploma. Evidence of continuous professional development in risk management and related disciplines.
