About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects, collaborate with leading experts, and contribute to meaningful flood forecasting initiatives that make a positive impact. We are expanding our UK flood forecasting capacity within the Sustainable Water Management team and are seeking experienced flood forecast modellers and hydrologists at all levels to join us.

In this role, you will provide technical delivery and leadership for flood forecast modelling and hydrology studies, including developing Flood Modeller based flood forecast models (routing and hydrodynamic), preparing hydrology boundaries (PDM), performance testing, and rating reviews. You will undertake quality assurance and independent technical reviews of flood forecasting reports and products, produce high-quality client- and public-facing deliverables, and present complex data with clarity.

You will work closely with the fluvial and pluvial modelling leadership team to develop our flood forecasting service offering, mentor junior colleagues, support and lead bid proposals, and provide project, commercial, and financial management. Client and stakeholder liaison will be a key part of your role, alongside promoting a 'safety first' culture in line with WSP's health and safety policies.

Although primarily UK based, you will collaborate with teams across WSP’s global business, contributing to the international Practice Area Network focused on flood and weather forecasting. This is a dynamic and supportive environment for a motivated individual to grow their career and help deliver innovative flood forecasting solutions.
