About the Role
When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources and help it become a better place for everyone. We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to push for genuine change and bring our ambition of Ecological Transformation to life. At Veolia, everyone helps work alongside communities, look after the environment, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
In this role, you will manage day-to-day service delivery, including the dynamic allocation of work to vehicles and routes. You will communicate with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers. You will complete debriefs with frontline staff and report necessary actions or updates as required. Face-to-face engagement with drivers will be key to supporting them in addressing any issues on route.
You will be responsible for reporting all safety concerns or container damage and encouraging a 'stop the job' approach if it is deemed unsafe to continue. Ensuring Veolia's legal compliance on-site, including Working Time Directive (WTD), Operator's Licence, and transport compliance, will be essential.
Veolia offers 25 days of annual leave, access to a company pension scheme, discounts on groceries and well-known retailers, and resources to support your physical, mental, and financial health. You will also receive one paid day leave annually to volunteer and support your community, along with ongoing training and development opportunities to help you reach your full potential.
Experience
Previous experience operating within a similar industry such as waste, transport, or logistics is required. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of transport compliance and the Working Time Directive (WTD). Experience working with a quality management system, for example ISO, and managing transport compliance is essential.
About you
You must have good communication skills to effectively engage with people at all levels including drivers, frontline employees, and customers. The ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace is important. Strong IT skills and the ability to adapt to Google operating systems are also required.
Qualifications
While specific qualifications are not stated, relevant experience and skills in transport compliance, logistics, or waste management are expected.
