About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Service & Repair Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing air source heat pumps (ASHP) from a range of manufacturers, conducting site surveys, and occasionally supervising installation teams. This is a field-based position covering Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and warranty work on ASHP systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, refrigerant, control, and hydraulic systems.
• Produce clear and accurate service reports, certificates, and documentation.
• Conduct site surveys to prepare for repairs or installations.
• Supervise and support installation teams when required.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and materials to a high standard.
• Liaise with customers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company standards.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Proven experience servicing and repairing ASHP systems (multi-manufacturer experience preferred).
• Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the region.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Confident using mobile reporting tools and documentation.

Desirable:

• Relevant qualifications in heating, F-Gas, refrigeration, or electrical disciplines (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
• Experience with commissioning and project handover.
• Health & Safety qualifications (CSCS, SMSTS, IOSH) or willingness to obtain them.
