About the Role
At M Group Energy, we deliver essential infrastructure services in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation. We are currently seeking a SHEQ Advisor to support our Energy In Home projects across the UK. This role involves providing health, safety, environmental, and quality support to operational teams, either on a single large-scale project or multiple smaller projects.
As a key member of the SHEQ team, you will offer expert advice and guidance on managing health, safety, and environmental issues. Responsibilities include monitoring employees and subcontractors through site inspections and audits, advising on risk assessments, construction risk management, fire safety, CDM regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and machinery. You will assist operational and management teams in maintaining and improving management systems and operational practices.
Additional duties include liaising with external bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive and clients, supporting incident management and investigations, delivering toolbox talks, team talks, and SHE training, as well as conducting induction training for new starters. You will act as a role model supporting M Group’s vision, priorities, and values.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Safety Advisor in a construction environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations.
- Proven ability to manage potential conflicts during site inspections.
- Experience delivering confident and articulate presentations.

Qualifications
- NEBOSH General or Construction certificate (required).
- Full UK driving licence (required).
- Environmental qualifications (desirable).
