About the Role
Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Sr. Sustainability Strategy Manager to lead long-term sustainability planning and investment strategy while delivering operational excellence across our global production footprint. This role is responsible for managing the Sustainability R&D fund, identifying and evaluating emerging sustainable technologies for global production testing, and building business cases to scale these solutions. You will develop and execute sustainability investment strategies aligned with Amazon's Climate Pledge commitments, driving adoption of cost-effective sustainable technologies such as batteries, electric vehicles, and renewable energy systems. The role also includes overseeing sustainability strategy and implementation at owned and leased production stages worldwide, collaborating with design and construction teams to electrify systems and integrate low-carbon materials. You will partner with creative, production, finance, and operations teams to embed sustainability into workflows and influence senior leadership through data-driven insights. This position sits within Amazon's Studio Strategy and Operations team, which drives long-term operational strategy and key programs including sustainability.

Experience
- 6+ years in program management, strategy, or related fields within media, entertainment, technology, or sustainability
- Strong analytical skills with experience conducting cost-benefit analyses and ROI assessments
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change
- Experience with data analysis tools and creating executive-level presentations
- Knowledge of carbon accounting, life cycle assessment, and sustainability metrics
- Experience in film, television, or entertainment production environments
- Familiarity with sustainable production practices, green building standards (LEED, BREEAM), and net zero carbon strategies
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems, battery technology, electric vehicle infrastructure, and low-carbon materials
- Experience managing pilot programs, technology trials, and scaling innovation initiatives
