As Team Lead Energy Storage, you will provide professional leadership at a senior management level, primarily focusing on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), as well as hydrogen and pumped storage hydro projects. You will establish and consolidate client relationships, take ownership of the region’s technical capability, and support the delivery of projects or specialised components.
You will play a key role in developing Arcadis’ capability in Energy Storage, building and maintaining a professional reputation for both yourself and the company. Leading by example, you will provide direction within project teams, oversee training and professional development, and manage project delivery to meet time, quality, budgetary, and health and safety targets.
Managing client relationships to ensure maximum satisfaction, you will champion client care and promote the regional and global culture of Arcadis. You may also provide temporary embedded support to key clients as required.
Your responsibilities will include promoting continual improvement in safety, health, and environmental performance, leading technical delivery of complex projects, coaching and mentoring engineering professionals, and contributing to the tendering and proposal process. You will keep up to date with industry developments and maintain a strong professional profile at a national level.

Experience
Significant knowledge and proven track record in an Energy Storage engineering role, including the development and delivery of Energy Storage projects and associated grid connections. Experience supporting clients during project delivery and managing business relationships at executive level. Extensive consulting experience on large scale and highly complex projects.
Demonstrable ability to lead teams, manage quality processes, and deliver projects to time, quality, and budget targets. Experience in embedding Energy Storage in transmission and distribution networks, including plant and equipment manufacture, testing, commissioning, and implementation.
Strong consulting skills including project management and client relationship management at senior management level. Ability to identify and select appropriate engineering techniques and contribute to innovative design solutions.
Sound knowledge of legislation, hazards, safe systems of work, and health, safety, and welfare management. Experience leading diverse teams and developing staff to meet evolving technical and managerial needs.

Qualifications
A first degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Storage, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
Membership of a professional engineering body such as the IET. Chartered Engineering status or the ability to achieve this in the future.
Demonstrated understanding of sustainable development best practices and commercial frameworks relevant to engineering projects.
Commitment to ethical standards and compliance with professional codes of conduct.
