We’re recruiting for a Trainee Commissioning Engineer to support building systems commissioning on large-scale construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to learn practical engineering skills on-site and build a long-term career in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services. You will assist with the start-up and functional testing of HVAC systems, learn how to measure air and water volumes, operate test instruments, document findings, help with equipment logistics, and participate in training sessions and workshops.
Experience
Must have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) test. CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain one before starting). Basic maths and computer skills (Word, Excel, email).
About you
Keen to learn and willing to follow instructions. Able to work well in a team. Interest in engineering, building systems, or sustainable construction. Highly motivated and eager to learn. Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Strong problem-solving attitude. Good communication and organisational skills. Comfortable working on site and under supervision.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but a strong interest in engineering and building systems is essential.
