The RES Offshore team provides Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services to offshore wind farms and related assets including offshore transmission, substations, foundations, subsea cables, meteorological masts, and wind turbines. Services include routine planned maintenance, remedial and reactive works.
The Wind Turbine Site Supervisor will lead and execute the delivery of planned and unplanned O&M services, including minor and major corrective works on offshore wind farm assets, primarily Samsung 7MW turbines. This hybrid role is predominantly site-based in Fife, Scotland, with some planning and reporting from home. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to resolve issues and implement improvements, ensuring all services are delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with contractual requirements and standards.
Key responsibilities include leading high-quality maintenance activities, preparing risk assessments and method statements, maintaining high Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, participating in an on-call rota, and occasional UK and Ireland travel. The role requires flexibility between site attendance and home working, overtime as needed, and the ability to work at height and offshore.
Experience
- Proven experience in wind turbine maintenance, especially on Samsung 7MW turbines
- Mechanical, electrical, power electronics, and hydraulic maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with lifting operations and large component exchange
- Use of hydraulic tooling and fault-finding on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to plan and execute safe remedial works
- Experience working in a Health & Safety focused environment

- Proficient in customer interface and pre-task coordination
- Ability to prepare risk assessments, method statements, and client-required procedures
- High level of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental awareness with WTSR compliance
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work, including on-call duties and overtime
- Team leadership skills and technical capability to evaluate complex equipment
- Physically fit with ability to climb and work offshore
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or significant relevant wind turbine experience
- GWO training is desirable but full training will be provided
- Full UK driving licence
