The role of a Wind Turbine O&M Technician is to support the Turbine O&M Team in delivering specific projects by providing technical assistance to resolve ongoing issues and implement improvements. This position suits an experienced technician with a technical background in mechanical and/or electrical systems, preferably within turbine disciplines, and strong analytical fault-finding skills across Electrical, Mechanical & Hydraulic systems. Experience with Siemens, Bonus, or Gamesa wind turbine technology is highly valued.

The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality maintenance activities, support business development, and demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Responsibilities include preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and other client-required procedures while maintaining a high level of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental awareness. Flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.

Training will be provided for the right candidate in areas such as gearbox inspections, use of specialised equipment (vibration analysis, ultrasound, borescope, thermal imaging), blade repair, main component replacements, technical auditing, and delivering in-house technical training. The role requires working in a Health & Safety focused environment and coordinating subcontractors as needed.

Requirements

Experience
- Technical background in mechanical and/or electrical systems, preferably turbine-related
- Analytical fault-finding on Electrical, Mechanical & Hydraulic systems
- Experience with Siemens, Bonus, or Gamesa wind turbine technology highly valued
- Wind turbine maintenance and large component exchange
- Working at height and wind turbine fault finding
- Use of hydraulic tooling
- Coordination of subcontractors
- Health & Safety focused environment experience (RA, CoSHH, MS, WTSR)

Qualifications
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Qualification (Minimum Level 3 NVQ)
