About the Role
Due to continuing success in the offshore wind sector, Wood PLC is seeking a talented, motivated and passionate EIA professional to join our Resilient Environments International team. Our team has a proven track record supporting consents for high profile offshore wind projects and is positioned for further growth and expansion to enable continued success in this exciting market. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the onshore team to deliver robust EIA, survey management, stakeholder engagement and consenting advice to support consent submission
- Acting as day-to-day contact for the onshore EIA team, land access team and client team members to maintain programme momentum
- Supporting management of the project onshore EIA budget and programme
- Contributing to key areas of your technical competence
- Keeping up to date with industry developments and sharing knowledge with the team
- Supporting development of processes and templates through lessons learned to add value and efficiencies to projects

Requirements

Experience
- Varied onshore EIA, consents and licensing experience, ideally in onshore linear connections and energy infrastructure during the development phase
- Experience coordinating specialist technical input to deliver high quality EIAs for projects including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects in the energy or other linear sectors
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in budget management and reporting
- Scottish experience is useful
- Established network in the offshore industry
- Willingness to travel, including possible international travel

About you
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, suppliers and industry
- Motivated, passionate and able to work effectively within a supportive team environment

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant environmental discipline with a strong emphasis on EIA and/or SEA
- Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, planning or related field (desirable)
- Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or other professional accreditation/registration with a recognised body (desirable)
- A technical specialism would be useful
