About the Role
Wood is recruiting a Principal Process Engineer specialising in industrial wastewater treatment on a permanent staff basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving resolution of technical issues and developing complex wastewater treatment and water recovery and reuse process designs across a varied and interesting diversity of projects. This role involves delivering feasibility studies to solve complex wastewater treatment and water reuse challenges to meet stringent environmental requirements. You will create process wastewater treatment designs for Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC projects, develop the basis of design, undertake detailed calculations including heat and material balances, and ensure the accuracy of these calculations. Responsibilities also include preparing Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions and P&IDs for review and approval, performing safety-related calculations, and providing input to Hazops, SIL and other safety reviews. You will undertake and check process design work, ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality assurance procedures, and confirm that design methods, standards and data conform with client requirements and Wood standards. The role requires executing process engineering activities within budget and schedule while maintaining technical integrity. Additional duties include reviewing supplier quotations, participating in technical meetings, assisting in preparation of Operating Manuals, and supporting staff development through mentoring and evaluation. Experience
- Proven core Process Engineering skills, including industrial wastewater design experience
- Experience working on FEED and EPC projects for onshore oil and gas and petrochemical sectors
- Skilled in resolving technical process design issues

Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Chartered Chemical Engineer status (desirable)
