About the Role
At WSP, you will join an expanding team of Project Managers focused on career growth while delivering diverse projects for global clients in infrastructure, natural environment, water, flood defence, and earth and environment sectors. You will be part of the wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM) within the Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group, working alongside over 400 professionals across the UK. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with quality management systems, driving efficiencies in project execution, and providing leadership and guidance to multi-disciplinary project teams. You will lead business development efforts, organise and chair client meetings, and autonomously plan, monitor, and control projects ranging from £10m to £500m in value. Responsibilities include contract management, administration under various frameworks, line management duties, and delivering projects within agreed financial and commercial parameters. This role offers the opportunity to make decisions on complex issues and provide strategic direction on project priorities while working within a flexible and supportive culture that values safety and wellbeing.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven track record delivering complex, high-risk projects successfully, ideally in infrastructure projects and programmes
- Experience in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management with a desire to focus on Project Management
- Competence in stakeholder management, risk management, planning/scheduling, and commercial management
- Experience working in collaborative integrated delivery teams

- Motivated to develop your project management career to its full potential and demonstrate transferability across sectors
- Ability to work autonomously and take accountability for delivering projects within agreed financial metrics

Qualifications
- Professional qualification in project management, quantity surveying, and/or an engineering discipline
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) or similar discipline
- NEC accreditation in Project Management
- Membership of professional institutions, preferably Chartered
- Evidence of higher attainment and ongoing professional development in project management or related field
