About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a positive impact on communities worldwide. As an Associate Project Manager within our expanding team, you will focus on delivering diverse projects across infrastructure, natural environment, water, flood defence, and earth and environment sectors. You will be part of the wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM) within our Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group, collaborating with over 400 professionals across the UK.

Your role will involve ensuring compliance with quality management systems, driving efficiencies throughout project execution, and providing leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams. You will lead business development activities, client meetings, and work autonomously to plan, monitor, and control projects valued between £10m and £500m. Responsibilities include contract management, administration under various frameworks, line management duties, and delivering projects within agreed financial and commercial parameters.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven track record delivering complex, high-risk projects successfully, including large infrastructure projects and programmes
- Experience in Project Management, Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management with a desire to focus on Project Management
- Competence in stakeholder management, risk management, planning/scheduling, and commercial management
- Demonstrable experience working within collaborative integrated delivery teams
- Proficiency in project management tools and software

Qualifications
- Professional qualification in project management, quantity surveying, and/or an engineering discipline
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) or similar discipline
- NEC accreditation in Project Management
- Membership of professional institutions, preferably Chartered
- Evidence of higher attainment and ongoing professional development in project management or related field
- Background in water, linear infrastructure, and/or environmental projects is beneficial but not essential
