Become a part of an expanding team of Project Managers, focusing on your career growth and delivering diverse projects for a wide range of global clients. These projects span infrastructure, natural environment, water, flood defence, and earth and environment sectors. With over 10,000 colleagues in the UK, our projects include highways, rail, urban infrastructure, energy, flood, water, wind energy, nuclear, defence and large-scale utilities.
You will be part of the wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM), made up of over 400 professionals across the UK, within our Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group. Your future development will be actively supported with access to WSP's full range of training, development tools and resources. You will integrate into our team's flexible working culture, offering a balance of home and office working, where safety and wellbeing are paramount.
A typical day includes:
- Ensuring compliance with quality management systems and driving efficiencies throughout project execution
- Providing leadership and guidance to project teams in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Supporting business development, cross-selling, networking, work winning, and marketing of WSP services
- Organising and chairing client meetings
- Planning, monitoring and controlling projects autonomously with values from £10m to £500m
- Managing project change and delivering projects within agreed commercial fee arrangements
- Undertaking contract management and administration under various framework and standalone contracts
- Leading and line managing a team
- Taking accountability for delivering projects within agreed financial metrics
- Making decisions on complex issues and providing direction regarding approach and priorities
Experience
- Proven track record of delivering complex, high-risk projects successfully, including large infrastructure projects and programmes
- Experience in Project Management, Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management
- Competence in stakeholder management, risk, planning/scheduling, and commercial management
- Demonstrable experience working in collaborative integrated delivery teams
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
About you

- Desire to develop your project management career to its full potential and demonstrate transferability
- Ability to work autonomously and take accountability for project delivery
- Enthusiastic about working in water, linear infrastructure and/or environmental projects (beneficial but not essential)
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in project management, quantity surveying and/or an engineering discipline
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) or similar discipline
- NEC accreditation in Project Management
- Membership of professional institutions, preferably Chartered
- Evidence of higher attainment and professional development in project management or current field
