About the Role

We are currently seeking a BIM Co-ordinator to join our growing Energy Transition team. In this key role, you will support the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects across the energy sector by acting as the technical hub within the BIM process. You will coordinate, review, and manage BIM models and digital deliverables, ensuring compliance with company and project standards.
Working closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders, you will facilitate collaboration across multiple disciplines within a shared BIM environment. Your responsibilities will span the design, development, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of critical energy infrastructure. You will drive BIM best practices, ensure efficient information exchange, and support the successful delivery of innovative projects that contribute to the energy transition and a more sustainable future.
Key accountabilities include collaborating with design disciplines to integrate overall solutions, working with global design colleagues under agreed project arrangements, producing accurate and compliant BIM deliverables, and ensuring adherence to Arcadis and national BIM standards. You will provide modelling guidance, assist in coaching BIM practitioners, coordinate BIM deliverables, and manage BIM modelling work within budget and deadlines. Additional duties include checking models for consistency and compliance with BIM Execution Plans, proposing design adjustments, monitoring implementation, generating outputs for production, and liaising with project teams, clients, and consultants to review and amend BIM models as necessary.
Experience
- Substantial production experience in design, drafting, engineering, and BIM
- Experience in defining BIM outcomes and setting up/coordinating BIM Protocols and Execution Plans
- Proven ability to manage modelling budgets, schedules, and technical resources on small to medium projects
- Capability to use multiple BIM software programs (2-3 or more)
- Skilled in using ICT tools for viewing and coordinating BIM models

Qualifications
- Qualification in a relevant technical subject including modelling elements (HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Engineering Technician status or equivalent through a recognised professional institution
- Demonstrated ability to apply design experience to BIM models
- Experience operating at a level consistent with Engineering Technician status
