About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join Thames Water as a Day Process Controller. In this role, no working day is the same, providing a challenging, interesting, and rewarding environment. You will receive full training and support covering Health & Safety, technical, and process requirements related to the plant.

Your responsibilities will include controlling the day-to-day operation of work processes, operating the site in line with internal company requirements, regulatory quality standards, and customer demand. You will maximise sludge throughputs from the Sewage Treatment Works to the THP plant, process faults and advise on suitable rectifications, and raise issues to the Maintenance Scheduler or Performance Managers as needed.

You will carry out isolations to plant and issue Permits to Work as part of a safe system of work. Assisting with on-site capital project works, coordinating maintenance and operational personnel, and raising reactive work when required will also be part of your role. Monitoring stock levels, requesting and taking deliveries, and monitoring, collating, and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance are key tasks.

Additionally, you will undertake safety and security checks and take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues.

Experience
- Experience working in an operational manufacturing production environment.
- Experience managing or controlling industrial processes in a similar industry.
- Ability to work unsupervised and willingness to cover shifts if required.
- Understanding of operational health and safety procedures and perimeters.
- Full UK Driving Licence required.

Qualifications
- Completion of an Engineering NVQ Level 2, BTEC, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Previous experience with SCADA systems would be an advantage.
