About the Role
Join Thames Water as an Advanced Process Technician at our Clean Water site in Chingford. In this role, you will provide flexible cover to support existing operations teams based on resource needs and priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to take the next step towards management and lead a team to success. You will take ownership of various project work including writing working procedures and instructions, contributing to health and safety improvements, liaising with contractors, raising quotes, and introducing innovative ideas to improve processes.
Utilising your experience in water treatment works, you will lead key field-based activities and support the Performance Manager in managing and coordinating a team of technicians. You will also participate in out-of-hours standby rota and step up to cover activities when the Performance Manager or Technical Coordinator is unavailable.

Experience
- Hands-on operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment processes and plant
- Experience in coaching or mentoring team members is desirable

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Operating Process Plant or working towards it
- Management qualification or working towards it
- IOSH training completed or willingness to complete
- Valid driving licence is essential
