38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 3:36 pm, plus standby rota payments and overtime opportunities

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance teams across London and the Thames Valley. In this role, you will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimum supervision. Your work ensures our sites remain operational, benefiting our customers and helping to reduce pollution from our sites, making a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact.

Your responsibilities will include undertaking both reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, and escalating issues as needed. You will carry out planned maintenance of plant and equipment daily, install new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations, and record work and asset information to improve business performance. You will identify potential risks and recommend changes for resolution. Additionally, you will provide specialist technical advice, coach and train staff including apprentices, and deliver excellent customer service by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.

All necessary PPE, tools, and a company van will be provided when on duty and on call. Completion of essential company training can increase your earning potential by up to £8,000-£10,000 per annum through standby and overtime payments.

Requirements

Experience
Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering. Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations preferred but training can be provided.

- Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
