About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark environmental projects that make a positive impact across the UK. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will support the delivery of a diverse range of environmentally led projects in both public and private sectors. You will manage smaller scale projects and assist Senior Project Managers on larger projects, gaining valuable experience and development opportunities. The role includes line management and mentoring of junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

You will be responsible for developing project proposals, including defining project requirements, scope, resources, programme, and cost estimates. You will maintain project management documentation such as project plans, risk registers, schedules, and stakeholder registers to ensure successful delivery. Monitoring and controlling project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress will be key to your role, alongside contract management and administration.

Health and safety is a priority, and you will ensure all necessary approvals and information are prepared for site visits. You will manage changes to project scope and ensure adherence to project governance. Leading multi-disciplinary environmental project teams, you will champion high-quality delivery while promoting health and safety, inclusion, and diversity. You will represent the Earth & Environment team internally and externally, building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in project management within environmental, construction, or related sectors is desirable. Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams and managing project documentation, budgets, and schedules is important. Contract management experience is advantageous.

Qualifications
Degree in a relevant technical discipline such as environment, project or construction management, engineering, science, building, or quantity surveying, or a combination of relevant experience and qualifications.
