About the Role
Equans is seeking a General Manager to provide operational and line management support at the University of West London site. This permanent role involves managing and developing all services on site in line with company standards and contractual obligations to ensure delivery of budgets, business plans, corporate objectives, contract growth, retention, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will maintain close liaison with the client to meet day-to-day and future contract requirements, ensuring contractual performance aligns with agreed budgets and compliance standards. Driving continuous improvement and cost efficiencies will be key to success.

Responsibilities include delivering high quality hard and soft FM services, formulating strategies with company management and clients to meet service demands and drive business growth, exercising financial and commercial controls to maximise profitability, managing supplier relationships for best value, implementing contract performance monitoring, supporting managers in supplier management, contributing to business development, promoting excellent customer care, ensuring health and safety compliance, recruiting and developing staff, setting and monitoring objectives for the contract and management team, and supporting contract mobilisation and stabilisation.

This role requires strong leadership to motivate staff, maintain professionalism, and foster effective communication and relationships across all levels.

Experience
- Extensive operational management experience within the Facilities Management industry, ideally in soft FM
- Experience with security services is desirable
- Proven people management and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrable abilities in supplier contract negotiation
- Strong operational and performance management focus
