About the Role
Equans is seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Technician with a mechanical bias to join our team at University Hospital of Lewisham. You will apply your mechanical expertise to maintain and repair hospital building services plant, including HVAC systems, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units, pumps, and medical support systems. Your responsibilities will include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and minor installation works while strictly adhering to health technical memoranda (HTMs) and statutory regulations. You will also support basic electrical maintenance tasks such as emergency lighting, smoke ventilation systems, controls, and medical electrical interfaces. This role involves participation in a 24-hour on-call rota to provide emergency cover and respond promptly to critical clinical plant breakdowns. Experience
Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, particularly with HVAC and associated hospital systems.
Competence in electrical maintenance related to emergency systems and controls.
