About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving complex challenges together. Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, involving real client work and projects from day one. Your journey will be unique, shaped by your chosen specialism and the variety of projects you contribute to. You will build technical expertise through meaningful client engagements while developing business acumen and professional skills via centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Graduates are encouraged and supported to proactively seek opportunities to broaden their experience and development.

As a specialist and science graduate joining GROW, you will specialise from day one in your chosen discipline. Working in teams of consultants, you will be responsible for your own deliverables, liaise with clients, and have every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. You will work on a range of environmental and planning projects including major infrastructure, urban regeneration, and community-focused initiatives, exposing you to diverse challenges and technical specialists.

Within the Ground Investigation discipline of our award-winning Site Evaluation and Restoration team, you will undertake site-based ground investigations to collect data on ground conditions supporting property and infrastructure development schemes. Early on, you will shadow experienced engineers on site, progress to supervising your own ground investigations, or contribute as part of a team on larger projects. You will be instrumental in delivering projects to the high standards we uphold.

To ensure safe and high-quality work, you will be guided through obtaining relevant safety qualifications and receive soil and rock logging training under experienced geologists' guidance. Site work is a key part of your early development, alongside producing reports, Health and Safety documentation, and developing a strong understanding of commercial and project planning aspects of ground investigation practice.

Requirements

Experience
You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2026 with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree. Experience working on site or in consultancy environments is advantageous but not essential.

About you
You demonstrate resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and are a team player. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders. You are willing to travel frequently and stay away from home as required, embracing virtual working where possible. You hold a full UK driving licence and are prepared for a significant portion of your time to involve site work, which may require extended periods away from your home office.

Qualifications
Accepted degrees include BSc in Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science, Physical Geography, or similar relevant disciplines.
