About the Role
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and innovative business leader to set the technical vision and commercial strategy for a world leader in the design and development of electric drive systems across automotive, aerospace, energy, and industrial sectors. This senior strategic role focuses on growing the business by leading and inspiring a team in electrification, managing change, and developing new markets. You will be the technology leader responsible for the design, development, and delivery of innovative world-class electro-mechanical drives, including drive and power systems, controls, electrical systems, electric motors, and gearboxes. The role also involves managing design engineers, overseeing commercial activities such as business development, key accounts, and P&L, and developing a global business model with strategic partnerships and joint ventures.

Experience
- Mechanical or electrical engineering degree background
- Proven technical leader and manager of design engineers
- Experience designing electro-mechanical systems including drive & power systems, controls, electrical systems, electric motors, and/or gearboxes
- Demonstrated global, multi-disciplined project team management experience
- Highly driven and self-motivated with ability to deliver results within tight deadlines

Qualifications
- Ideally 8+ years in a technology environment, preferably combining product and service business experience
- Further degree or professional qualification desirable
- Experience working in Asia (ideally China or India) is a plus
- Knowledge of electric vehicles or complex electro-mechanical systems preferred
