About the Role
You will lead the establishment and growth of a London office for a leading offshore wind engineering consultancy specializing in foundations and steel design for offshore wind turbines. This senior role involves a wide-ranging mix of business development, strategic leadership, management, and hands-on design engineering. Responsibilities include stress analysis, finite element modelling, load modelling, and the complete design of large offshore foundations such as jackets, monopiles, and steel towers. You will leverage your senior offshore wind structural engineering experience to manage packages, lead engineering teams, and deliver detailed analysis and design within the offshore wind sector. This is a Senior Director level position with potential equity opportunities. Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering
- Senior structural engineering experience in offshore wind foundations
- Expertise in structural engineering, including package and engineering management
- Strong network within the renewable energy sector to support business development
- Excellent communication skills including written, presentation, and meeting chairing abilities

Qualifications
- Advantageous to have experience in Owner’s Engineer roles, contract management, or certification agencies such as DNV-GL, Lloyds Register, or Bureau Veritas
- Knowledge of offshore wind turbine foundations including jackets, monopiles, and floating structures
- Familiarity with steel structures such as steel towers
- Understanding of geotechnical aspects, offshore installation, structural dynamics, and certification processes
