About the Role
Join a leading team delivering game-changing electro-mechanical drivetrain solutions for Electric Vehicles (EV). This role focuses on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of automotive drivetrain, mechatronic, and electromechanical powertrain and transmission systems for OEMs and Tier 1 automotive EV clients. You will specialise in the design of electromechanical system integration and control, powertrain, transmission, gearbox, and electromechanical actuation systems. Work with cutting-edge software and engineering design tools adopted by top OEMs in automotive, rail, and renewable energy sectors worldwide. Take full ownership of project schedules from design and creation through to delivery, collaborating closely with clients and suppliers to develop innovative EV drivetrain solutions.
Experience
- Finite Element Analysis using tools such as Ansys Workbench, Altair Hyperworks or similar
- NVH and CAE experience
- Mechanical Engineering background with BEng or MEng, ideally in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Automotive or related disciplines
- Experience in electric vehicle design including Hybrid, HEV, or EV systems is advantageous
- Design experience with rotating machinery including transmission, drivetrain, powertrain, gearbox, actuators, or motors
- Systems integration and electronic drive systems knowledge
About you
You are a Mechanical Engineer with strong FE analysis skills and ideally experience in rotating machinery. You have a passion for electric vehicle technology and enjoy working in a collaborative environment delivering innovative engineering solutions. You take ownership of your projects and communicate effectively with clients and suppliers.
Qualifications
BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
