The Arcadis Mobility Programme Management & Commercial Management unit is seeking a highly skilled Lead Planning Manager to lead the planning and scheduling team on a major infrastructure programme focused on mobility (rail, highways, and aviation) in London and the South of England. This pivotal role combines strategic planning, team leadership, client liaison, and performance reporting to ensure successful project delivery and continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for leading robust project controls throughout the project lifecycle, developing planning processes and standards to meet client requirements, maintaining baseline plans and schedules aligned with delivery objectives, monitoring progress and implementing recovery plans, and providing expert input into bids and resource planning. Additionally, you will report on earned value and performance to support financial forecasting, analyse project data to identify risks and trends, ensure compliance with planning standards, audit contractor plans, mentor planners, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, and drive continuous improvement by adopting emerging digital tools.
Experience
10+ years of project planning and scheduling experience, ideally within major aviation or infrastructure programmes.
Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of the UK mobility sector and project delivery requirements.
Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Experience with project controls, cost engineering, and financial operations.
Familiarity with different contracting environments and commercial models.
