About the Role
Equans is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis at Barnet General Hospital. In this role, you will follow all reasonable instructions from your line manager and wider management team while promoting a professional image by wearing company-issued uniform and PPE as required. You will maintain a polite and courteous manner towards colleagues, patients, staff, and visitors at all times. Health and safety compliance is essential to protect yourself, colleagues, clients, and the public, and to promote safety awareness throughout all tasks.
Your duties will include attending to blockages in soil, waste, and domestic drainage services, assisting colleagues with their work, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works as designated by management.

Experience
Experience within maintenance, construction, or facilities management is required. Experience working on drainage systems is beneficial.

You must be able to pass a DBS Standard check as this role involves working in a hospital environment. You should be professional, reliable, and committed to health and safety standards. A polite and courteous manner towards colleagues, patients, staff, and visitors is essential.
Qualifications
Evidence of the right to work in the UK is required. No specific qualifications are stated, but relevant experience and the ability to comply with DBS checks are essential.
