About the Role
Join us in shaping the future of renewable energy. As a Senior Protection & Control Engineer, you will lead the design and integration of advanced Protection, Control and Metering (PCM) systems for large-scale offshore wind farms, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with international and industry standards. Your work will directly contribute to delivering clean energy to millions of homes.
You will ensure PCM systems are designed and delivered in accordance with regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Managing and technically leading PCM systems from tendering through execution, you will collaborate with Contract Managers to secure best value and minimise costs and risks.
Ensuring consistency, technical safety, and coordination of designs developed by various contractors, you will manage interfaces with contractors, consultants, and internal teams, providing professional advice on technical engineering aspects and risk levels to identify cost-effective solutions.
You will justify technical decisions with full documentation and due diligence, lead and coordinate project engineers, consultants, and contractors to deliver project packages, and ensure adequate testing before system delivery, including witnessing inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at contractor facilities.
Supporting commissioning activities for key engineering design items, you will ensure assets are effectively commissioned for transfer into the Operations & Maintenance phase.
Experience
Proven experience in Protection, Control and Metering system design and specification, including protection philosophy, control architecture, and I/O lists. Demonstrated track record in managing PCM contracts, including cost, risk, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
