As a Senior Commercial Manager or Associate Commercial Manager, you will lead, motivate and manage a team of technical specialists, setting objectives, reviewing performance and developing skills to ensure efficient cost and commercial management services across projects. You will manage the financial performance of projects throughout their life cycle, ensuring costs, schedules, and efficiency targets are met to achieve profit and best value outcomes.
You will lead and manage the commercial aspects of projects, supporting project management teams to deliver work within budget and contract specifications. Monitoring team performance and behaviour, you will ensure compliance with organisational policies and codes of conduct.
Your role includes assuring contract compliance, analysing complex information to improve long-term cost management performance, and leading the implementation of new cost and commercial management system improvements to drive innovation and enhance project delivery.
You will manage business relationships with key customers to identify opportunities for service improvement and customer satisfaction, act as a lead technical expert providing strategic advice to senior managers, and build strong relationships with senior clients and stakeholders to extend the cost management service and create new business opportunities.

Experience
- Proven ability to manage, motivate and lead large teams on technically complex projects typically ranging between £10m and £100m+
- Relevant professional experience delivering large and complex projects across the entire project life cycle
- Experience building and utilising client relationships at executive level, acting as a trusted advisor

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to support internal teams and manage resources effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to build and maintain senior client relationships
- Motivated to drive innovation and continuous improvement in cost and commercial management services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
- CSCS card holder
