About the Role
Wood is seeking a Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our Air Quality team. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including transport (aviation), government, clean energy, conventional and renewable energy, mining, general industry and oil and gas, both in the UK and internationally. The role involves managing air quality and odour projects technically and financially, conducting industrial site inspections and audits, performing quality control in line with ISO standards, writing and reviewing reports, leading proposal and tender compilations, and supporting the training and development of junior team members. You will also be responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of staff on your projects. Opportunities exist to work on innovative software solutions and collaborate with other teams on environment and sustainability projects. Overseas travel will be required as part of this role.
Experience
- Data processing and analysis of air quality, emissions and meteorological data supporting air quality assessments
- Air dispersion modelling using CALPUFF, AERMOD or ADMS
- Field monitoring
- Client-facing experience and proposal writing
- Quality control and project management
- Full, clean driving licence
About you
Strong verbal and communication skills with the ability to write concise reports in English. Keen to progress your career in air quality and develop your skills within a leading consultancy. Ability to manage projects and lead teams responsibly, ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of staff. Enthusiastic about working on diverse projects and collaborating across teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum upper second degree-level qualification in engineering, science or maths
- Full member of IAQM
- Desirable: postgraduate qualification in environmental science, technology, engineering or policy

- Industrial emissions inventory and measurement
- Programming language knowledge
