About the Role
Are you passionate about flood risk management and seeking your next exciting opportunity? AtkinsRéalis is looking for senior InfoWorks ICM flood modellers to join our thriving business and work on a variety of high-profile projects across the UK. You will lead and deliver hydraulic and hydrological modelling projects, including 1D and 2D models for rivers, surface water, and coastal waters, with a strong focus on InfoWorks ICM software.

As part of a world-class flood risk management team, you will work on projects for the Environment Agency, local authorities across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, as well as major infrastructure projects such as Sizewell C and the Lower Thames Crossing. Our work also extends internationally, including projects in the Middle East and North America, collaborating closely with colleagues in India.

Your role will involve leading technical work, mentoring junior team members, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality modelling and flood risk analyses for strategy, planning, development, and design purposes. You will also support business development activities and contribute to the ongoing development of the Flood Risk Team.

Experience
- Proven in-depth experience of 1D-2D modelling using InfoWorks ICM
- Experience delivering flood risk analyses for strategy, planning, development, or design
- GIS skills in ArcGIS, MapInfo, or QGIS
- Experience developing and leading technical teams, supporting and mentoring staff
- Ability to make robust decisions using professional judgement
- Track record of project delivery, meeting client requirements, and commercial awareness
- Experience with Flood Modeller, TUFLOW/ESTRY, or HEC-RAS is advantageous
- Knowledge of FEH hydrological assessment and UK hydrology is desirable
- Chartered status is valued; mentoring and development support available for those without professional memberships
- Civil engineering design experience is desirable but not required
