About the Role
The position requires a Chartered Senior/Principal Landscape Architect with an excellent track record in design. You will support project delivery from feasibility through to construction, demonstrating a proactive, can-do attitude and an innovative approach. The role involves design input across a range of projects including education, public realm, parks & greenspace, active travel, and design guidance. You will prepare bids and contribute to work-winning activities, provide landscape advice to both external and internal clients, and understand project management including financial oversight. Resource allocation will be managed in liaison with the senior leadership team, and mentoring of junior staff is a key responsibility. The role requires high quality presentation and communication skills, confidence in undertaking site surveys, design and assessment, and writing technical reports. You will work within a stimulating multidisciplinary environment as part of an integrated team, applying an inquisitive approach to your work.

Experience
- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute with extensive post-chartership experience
- Proven track record in design with experience in both public and private sectors preferred
- Experience managing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects, ideally including the Education sector
- Proven experience in technical delivery and overseeing projects on site (RIBA Stage 4 and 5)
- Excellent project management skills including budget management
- Consultancy experience and commercial expertise advantageous
- Competent in AutoCAD and Adobe software; experience with REVIT and BIM is beneficial
- Strong communication skills with ability to draft reports and develop high-quality design information
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Confident team worker with ability to work independently
- Commercial awareness and business development skills
