About the Role
The AtkinsRéalis Landscape Practice is an award-winning UK-based design practice delivering excellence across a wide range of sectors including Green and Blue Infrastructure, flood alleviation, master planning, education, aviation, commercial, defence, active travel, transport, urban regeneration, retrofit and residential. Our team of 80 Landscape Architects work nationally and internationally providing integrated nature-based solutions in a multidisciplinary environment. We have a strong pipeline of work and are expanding our Scotland team with a vacancy based in Edinburgh.

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will take an active role in a variety of challenging design projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to generate positive, sustainable, and impactful designs. You will contribute to our strong design manifesto and help deliver the best outcomes. This role offers a wide variety of experience and excellent opportunities for career progression.

Your responsibilities will include working within a multidisciplinary environment supporting projects from feasibility through to detailed design, applying principles of SuDS, writing reports, assisting with contract documentation and site supervision. You will provide landscape advice to clients, support and mentor junior staff, and contribute to project coordination, financial management, work-winning activities, and fee proposals. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe software is essential, with a passion to explore Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape. Experience with BIM and Revit is desirable. Hand drawing skills are also valued.

This role requires flexibility for travel and working both locally and nationally. A full valid driving licence and residence within reasonable travelling distance to the Edinburgh office are essential. Site visits across the region will be required.

Requirements

Experience
Proven post-chartership (CMLI) experience in a Landscape Architect role with a strong track record in design and technical delivery across all RIBA stages. Experience in multidisciplinary environments and project coordination is essential. Familiarity with quality assurance environments is desirable.

Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and the ability to draft high-quality reports. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Qualifications
A relevant landscape degree and Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) are required.
