About the Role
As a Senior Planner within the Arcadis Mobility Programme Management & Commercial Management unit, you will play a pivotal role in delivering planning and scheduling for major mobility infrastructure programmes across London and the South of England. This role combines strategic planning and performance reporting to ensure successful project delivery across rail, highways, and aviation sectors. You will develop and maintain project baseline plans, monitor progress, identify variances, and implement recovery and contingency plans to support robust project controls throughout the lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include reporting on earned value and performance to inform financial forecasting, analysing project data to identify trends and risks, auditing contractor plans, and ensuring compliance with Network Rail procedures. Collaboration with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders is key to delivering value and driving continuous improvement through adoption of emerging digital tools and enhanced planning processes.

Requirements

Experience
Minimum 7 years of project planning and scheduling experience, ideally within major rail or infrastructure programmes. Proven ability to manage complex projects with robust project controls and performance reporting. Experience working with project controls, cost engineering, and financial operations. Familiarity with different contracting environments and commercial models.

Strong organisational, commercial, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders. Proactive in driving continuous improvement and adopting emerging digital planning tools. Committed to delivering high-quality outcomes within a dynamic infrastructure environment.

Qualifications
Degree, HNC or HND in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. Desirable qualifications include membership of a relevant professional body, Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification, and a broad understanding of rail, highways, or aviation engineering, construction, and investment planning systems.
