About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a positive impact on communities worldwide. As a Senior Project Manager within our expanding team, you will focus on delivering diverse projects across infrastructure, natural environment, water, flood defence, and earth and environment sectors. You will be part of the Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group and the wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM), which includes over 400 professionals across the UK.
Your role will involve leading projects valued between £1m and £100m, ensuring compliance with quality management systems, driving efficiencies, and providing leadership to multi-disciplinary teams. You will manage client relationships, chair meetings, support business development efforts, and take accountability for delivering projects within agreed financial and commercial parameters. Additionally, you will undertake contract management and administration, including NEC contracts, and have line management responsibilities for junior project managers.

Experience
- Proven experience in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management with a focus on project delivery.
- Experience managing projects in water, linear infrastructure, and/or environmental sectors is beneficial.
- Competence in stakeholder management, risk management, planning/scheduling, and commercial management.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Experience in contract management and administration, particularly NEC contracts.

Qualifications
- Professional qualification in project management, quantity surveying, and/or an engineering discipline.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) or a related field.
- NEC accreditation and technical skills to lead and administer NEC contracts.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions such as Association for Project Management (APM), Project Management Institute (PMI), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), or Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and higher attainment in project management or related fields.
