About the Role
Join WSP and work on projects that truly matter. As a Senior Project Manager within our expanding team, you will deliver diverse infrastructure, natural environment, water, flood defence, and earth and environment projects for a wide range of global clients. You will be part of the Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group and the wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM) of over 400 professionals across the UK. Your role will focus on leading projects valued between £1m and £100m, ensuring compliance with quality management systems, driving efficiencies, and providing leadership in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Typical responsibilities include organising and chairing client meetings, supporting marketing efforts, managing project change, contract administration under various frameworks, and line managing junior project managers. You will take accountability for delivering projects within agreed financial metrics and make decisions on complex issues, providing direction on approach and priorities. Experience
- Proven experience in Project Management, Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management with a desire to focus on Project Management.
- Competence in stakeholder management, risk management, planning/scheduling, and commercial management.
- Experience working with projects in water, linear infrastructure, and/or environmental sectors is beneficial but not essential.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Experience in contract management and administration under NEC and other frameworks.

Qualifications
- Professional qualification in project management, quantity surveying, and/or an engineering discipline.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) or similar.
- NEC accreditation and technical skills to lead and administer NEC Contracts.
- Membership of professional institutions such as Association for Project Management (APM), Project Management Institute (PMI), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), or Institute of Civil Engineers (MICE).
- Evidence of higher attainment and ongoing professional development in project management or related fields.
