About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a positive impact on communities worldwide. As a Senior Project Manager within our expanding team, you will focus on delivering diverse projects across infrastructure, natural environment, water, flood defence, and earth and environment sectors. You will be part of the Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group and the wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM), which includes over 400 professionals across the UK.
You will enjoy a flexible working culture balancing home and office working, with safety and wellbeing as priorities. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with quality management systems, driving efficiencies throughout project execution, and providing leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams. You will work autonomously to plan, monitor, and control projects valued between £1m and £100m, manage project change, and deliver within agreed commercial fee arrangements.
Additional responsibilities include contract management and administration under various frameworks, chairing client meetings, supporting marketing efforts, and undertaking line management responsibilities for Assistant, Graduate, and Undergraduate Project Managers. You will be accountable for delivering projects within financial metrics and making decisions on complex issues to provide direction on approach and priorities.

Experience
- Proven experience in Project Management, Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management with a focus on project delivery.
- Experience managing projects valued from £1m to £100m.
- Competence in stakeholder management, risk management, planning/scheduling, and commercial management.
- Experience in contract management and administration under NEC and other frameworks.
- Background in water, linear infrastructure, and/or environmental projects is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications
- Professional qualification in project management, quantity surveying, and/or an engineering discipline.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) or similar.
- NEC accreditation and technical skills to lead and administer NEC contracts.
- Membership of professional institutions such as Association for Project Management (APM), Project Management Institute (PMI), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), or Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and higher attainment in project management or related fields.
