About the Role
Are you passionate about shaping a net-zero, climate-resilient future? At Stantec, we’re not just talking about sustainability, we’re delivering it. Join our growing team and help drive innovative, high-impact strategies across some of the UK’s most exciting projects. From local authorities to universities, and from masterplan developers to hotel chains, we’re proud to be shaping the approach organisations are taking to decarbonisation and a net-zero future. We are looking for an enthusiastic Sustainability Consultant to join our Benchmarking team in London. This role is well suited to someone with experience in building performance and IES modelling, who is keen to broaden their skills and progress their career within sustainability consultancy. This is an opportunity to develop our growing sustainability offering locally, as part of the wider UK team. You will be naturally proactive and help support the development of the local service offering in response to evolving national and local legislative drivers. Your key responsibilities include preparing Sustainability and Energy Statements in support of planning and compliance; undertaking Building Regulations Part L assessments using IES; carrying out dynamic thermal modelling including thermal comfort and overheating risk assessments; supporting Whole Life Carbon (WLC) assessments and Circular Economy statements; supporting Climate Change Adaptation and resilience studies; managing your own workload to meet agreed project deadlines and quality standards; reviewing project information and helping to develop sustainability targets; reviewing documentation provided by project teams and assessing it against agreed targets; setting up and maintaining projects using sustainability evidence trackers; communicating sustainability requirements clearly to internal and external team members; producing concise, high-quality reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams; and attending site visits to review progress against sustainability targets.
