About the Role

As a Technical Director for EIA, you will drive the success of the environmental assessment team, supporting the wider team to win and deliver outstanding work for our clients. You will lead complex multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring exceptional outcomes and building meaningful relationships within Arcadis and with external stakeholders. This role offers opportunities to work across multiple sectors as part of an integrated planning and environmental team.

You will be accountable for project delivery, including selecting, leading, and developing project teams to ensure alignment with project strategy, client requirements, and excellent communication. You will foster cooperation across teams and offices, identify work-winning opportunities, and lead high-quality bids to support business growth. Coaching and mentoring specialist professionals will be key to supporting their development. You will maintain a strong understanding of Arcadis services, client businesses, and industry sectors to enhance networking and credibility. Staying current with technical, legislative, and industry developments, you will actively contribute to the professional profile of the Area through presentations, publications, and committee participation. You will champion Arcadis policies and uphold the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing leadership.

Experience
- Extensive experience managing business relationships at executive level
- Strong consulting skills including project management and client relationship management at senior management level
- Deep understanding of a key service line or sector
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
- Proven technical, project management, client relationship management, and commercial skills
- Excellent understanding and practice of Environmental, Safety and Risk Management, including Health, Safety and Wellbeing leadership

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Chartered status or equivalent, preferably with the Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (ISEP) or equivalent
